Monica’s Butterfly Drawings – Her imagination runs wild with these beautiful drawings of the great variety of colors and patterns found in the butterfly world. Each drawing or painting is a heartfelt attempt to present the butterfly in a new light and unique perspective to the viewer as she draws them in their native habitat. Even as a child Monica has felt drawn to natures wildlife. Monica enjoys using brilliant contrasting colors and often incorporates geometric elements in her artwork. These giclee reproductions utilizing permanent inks on museum etching fine art paper are matted and ready to frame. The 5×7 prints are inserted into 8×10 matts. The 8×10 prints are inserted into 11×14 matts. Since the sizes of 5×7 and 8×10 inches are fairly small, Monica forsees displaying them in collages or groupings. Frames should chosen such that the display compliments the decor of the room in which they are displayed.
Each drawing is meticulously produced with colored pens and black ink, using Monica’s unique style. Real butterflies are the inspiration but given an added dimension with color and design. They seem to be “floating” due to the techniques used by Monica, including pointalism and layers of color. These beautiful drawings are sure to bring a sense of peace and tranquility to the viewer.
