Monica’s Cherub Angel Artwork is colorful angel pen drawings by Monica Puryear inspired by Raphael’s cherubs. The art is encased in distressed acrylic and embellished with gemstones around the edges. A cherub is one of the unearthly beings who directly attend to God according to Abrahamic religions. The numerous depictions of cherubim assign to them many different roles; their original duty having been the protection of the Garden of Eden. Different sources give conflicting information as to the physical appearance of cherubim. An early, traditional Jewish notion supposes that cherubim had youthful, human features.
The Angel artwork is ready to hang. No frame necessary. Monica forsees displaying them in collages or groupings. Note that the cherub is the same in all the artworks but the embellishments yield unique and interesting looks.
